Suck Less at Email

A summary of Mark O'Sullivan's blog post, Don't Suck at Email.

Io Repo

My patches for Io are in git://github.com/quag/io.git.

Yum yum yum. Tasty patches.

Io: Getting Started

Io: Getting Started has links to useful pages for people learning Io.

Io clone of Desktop Tower Defense

Io's irc channel #io has been having a great time playing Desktop Tower Defense. One thing lead to another, and we started talking about making a clone in Io.

Io Notes

Source

Io Inspect

Introspect a running Io via the web. Has a code formatter so it is easy to read methods. If you want to look at a particular object, add its name to the end of the inspect url.

Examples: Lobby Addons Core Object (ancestors) List Sequence

Io Intentions

Ions in tents... now there is an idea. I wonder what it would do for the texture.

Repos for little Io projects

Darcsweb has a list of projects that may be more up to date than this list.

Schwartzian transform for List

Io in Io

Tiny first hack at implementing a little of IoObject in Io.

darcs get http://www.quag.geek.nz/io/ioio
Op Transformation implemented in Io

As of Saturday, 15 July 2006, this code is now used by default in Io.

Ported of the C implementation of the op-transformer into Io. The code is free of operators, and tries to use only CFunctions. The intention is to switch over to an Io implementation of the op-transformer and run it before running _ioCode.

The Io code for the op-transformer is available from the following repo. (Note, this is a standalone project. It is not an Io repo.)

darcs get http://www.quag.geek.nz/io/optransform
All those lovely little half finished projects. Don't they twinkle so nicely in the glow of the computer screen?

Io Bits and Pieces

What ever would we do without junk?

PL/0 Interpreter in Io

Why on earth would anyone want a PL/O interpreter?!

Pastes

Use the paste service when pasting into irc or im sessions. .txt, .html and .io files are created. The url generated is the md5 of the content pasted.

Paste tastes nice. Will you try some?

It is kwog not kwag dammit! (How to pronounce "quag".)

Right: kwog (mp3)

Kwog hit the dog with a log. The fog covering the bog muffled the sound of the blow. Kwog prayed to himself that nobody would blog the incident.

Wrong: kwag (mp3)

"Kwag kwag kwag" said the ducks to each other on the fine summers morning. Little did they know, but this would be the last morning on which they would kwag pleasantly together...

quag·mire (kwag'mir', kwog'-)
n.
  1. Land with a soft muddy surface.
  2. A difficult or precarious situation; a predicament.
quag (kwag, kwog)
n.
  1. A quagmire.
quaggy (kwag'e, kwog'e)
adj., -gi·er, -gi·est.
  1. Resembling a marsh; soggy.
  2. Soft and flabby. (I'm not soft and flabby yet!)
Lets all sing the quag song.

These little notes are brought to you by fortune. Fortune puts that extra bit of happiness in your life.
